The Greenburgh Nature Center consists of 33-acres of woodland preserve. Throughout the preserve are various trees including birches, dogwoods, maples, beeches, tulip poplars, hickories, and oaks. There are also live animals, a greenhouse with botanical exhibits, a museum, and a hands-on discovery room. The Greenburgh Nature Center is education and fun for the whole family to enjoy. 

The Weinberg Nature Center is a ten-acre sanctuary that is home to a numerous variety of wildlife including birds, animals, and plant life. Scenery at the nature center includes a fruit orchard, swamp, meadow, and woods . There are trails for strolling and an 8-mile trail for hiking all the way to Binebrook Ball Park. There are various special events and programs that take place throughout the Center for groups of all ages. The Weinberg Nature Center is a place for education, family fun, and enjoyment.  

The Secor Woods Park has 3 groves with picnic tables and grills for a lunch or barbeque. Secor Woods Park also has 2 ball fields, a playground, horseshoe pit, and playground for the children to enjoy. 

There are several excellent golf courses close to Edgemont including the Saxon Woods Golf Course, the Mosholu Golf Course, Dunwoodie Golf Course, Bonnie Briar Country Club, and Quaker Ridge Golf Club. Each golfing facility has charming scenery, pleasant greens, and a relaxing atmosphere for an enjoyable game of golf.
