Eastchester opened its first marble quarry in 1818. The marble created in the quarry was called “Tuckahoe Marble”. Buildings made out of this marble type include The General Post Office in Washington D.C., Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C., and the Main Public Library in New York City. Throughout Eastchester buildings made out of Tuckahoe Marble include the Immaculate Conception Church and the Samuel Fee building.

Parkway Oval is a 14 acre park located in Tuckahoe. However, it is owned and maintained by Eastchester.
